Berlin & Germany

The 3,5 million German capital, the metropolis of lights (come to the Berlin Festival of Lights held every year in October!) historically has a lot of links with my home and birth town of Wroclaw (Poland).

Berlin is a monumental city, a bustling metropolis with world’s top museums and industrial heritage sites. Great history looks at us from every corner here. Berlin has been the key citiy in the Times of the Kingdom of Prussia, The German Empire (Second Reich) and the so called Weimar Republic. Unfortunately, both cities have lived through the horrific years of the III Reich. Berlin and Wroclaw were destroyed during the II World War and both were rebuilt. Berlin has risen like fenix form the ashes.
