Visiting Lower Silesia
Dolny Slask (The Lower Silesia) region in the Western Poland with its capital city Wroclaw is my home region of Poland. It is also my favourite place to show to my guests and clients. Come and visit the Lower Silesia an amazing and beautiful part of Poland.
Magical Lower Silesia
- The Lower Silesia has the largest numer of castle, palaces and manors in Poland. Start You journey with the crown jewel – the capital city of Wroclaw with a beautiful gothic town hall and the amazing ceremonial hall of the University – the Leopoldina Hall.
- Here in the Lower Sielsia You will also see incredible wooden Churches of Peace (XVII centrury) in Swidnica and Jawor,
- Visit charming cities Swidnica, Jelenia Gora, Boleslawiec, Olesnica with its colourful old towns. A hint – it is worth travelling by train here. We have the most attractive mountain railway lines in Poland dating back to the mid XIX centrury.
- If You love handcraft and pottery You will not want to miss the city of Boleslawiec with its famous pottery factories and the pottery painting workshops. The protucts of the Boleslawiec factories became popular in the USA and Japan.
- The Lower Silesia will impress You with its landscapes dotted with small villages and old gothic and baroque churches and chapels.
- It will delight You with varied cuisine that includes Polish dishes and also some old German and Czech dishes that show the cultural diversity of the Lower Silesia.
- The nature – a magnet that attracts a lot of prople – our mountains the SUDETY.
- Come and witness the mountain waterfalls of Kamienczyk and Szklarka, the highest mountain Sniezka – the most windy mountain in Europe, the UNESCO Geopark of the Land of the Extinct Volcanoes, the coldest valley in Poland in the Izerskie Mountains. Enjoy river rafting on the Nysa Klodzka or Bobr rivers. See one of the largest mountain cave in Poland –the Niedzwiedzia cave.
